Weekly Photo Review

The remains of a delicious Pineapple Dump Cake.

Delicious and authentic Thai noodle salad dinner, many thanks to my Crock Pot!

One of my favorite spots in the greater Baltimore area.

Signs of spring on a perfect Sunday afternoon hike.

Love the bright neon green color of these little buds.

I love trees. They can do amazing things - like survive without much of a root system.

Delicious heirloom tomatoes that I splurged on at the natural market.

Homemade granola? I think yes!

Paste's List of the Day featured a great collection of 30 indie artists covering pop songs this week. Though I don't necessarily consider it a pop song, "Reptilia" (originally performed by the Strokes) was given new life in this brilliant cover from the Punch Brothers.

There are some other real gems to be found on the list (including the Decemberists' cover of Heart's "Crazy on You" and the Cvili War's rendition of "Billie Jean") which I highly recommend checking out here

  4. Oh my goodness. I'm not a fan of tomatoes normally, but those heirlooms are beautiful! And yum, homemade granola! I haven't made that in a long time. Share your recipe please? :)

  8. Thanks for all the kind and thoughtful comments! The tomatoes were too delicious to cook down so I just had them fresh and juicy in a salad - what a delight!

Felicia - the granola recipe is actually listed on my "Eats" tab. It's under breakfast as "Trail Mix Granola." I added a few seeds and such to this one but the basics are all included in that recipe!

Maris - Photography is definitely just a hobby for now. I wish I knew enough about cameras and the art of the photograph to be a professional... For now I'm just working on refining my eye. Thanks so much for your sweet comment!

And Jennifer - I'll surely post the thai noodle dish soon!

  9. that thai noodle salad looks AMAZING!

  10. I'm a bit jealous of your hike! It's been too long since I've been out. I liked the reptilia cover! kathleen and emily always sing that song.
