In fact our HOA has approved drought tollerant shrubs, etc.. due to a water shortage we had years ago and also fire season is on schedule every year.. I must say a lawnless front yard is gorgeous... succulents, gravel, and slow growing trees are what I love... also it saves on the water bill. I'm slowly getting rid of shrubs, trees that suck up a lot of water and maintenance...
